What is 2N Mobility Extension?
The 2N Mobility Extension (ME) is a device that helps connect any end user's mobile phone to your PBX as a standard office extension. It allows you to use all PBX functions even if you are working out of your office. It is a complementary product to any PBX,
connectable to the internal side via analog extension lines of the PBX.
How does 2N ME work?
When someone calls your fixed office line, your mobile phone rings simultaneously. The call can be answered on either line depending on your location (you answer the fixed line in the office or your mobile phone if you are out of the office).
Advantages
The main advantage is the possibility to use the ME as a GSM gateway. Besides high comfort, this solution brings an extra cost saving effect to all ME users (who are defined like any other extensions). The second significant advantage is the total mobility of all ME users - all employees and colleagues can be reached anywhere and any time on the same phone number. With the 2N ME you need fewer attempts and less effort to contact any person.
Additional use
While calling from your mobile phone through the ME you can make use of all company PBX functions (Redirecting, VoiceMail, etc.). Despite being a mobile user you appear as a normal extension to the other users of your PBX. This means that they can use any standard PBX service without knowing that they are calling through the ME. In addition to making calls to internal extensions you can use it to reduce call costs from the fleet mobiles to fixed lines.
Installation
2N's ME is a scalable system with 2 to 8 GSM channels. You can configure the 2N ME using a SW configuration tool. There is a SIM card holder for up to 8 SIM cards in the ME.
