The 2N SmartGate is a single-channel analogue GSM gateway, which provides a number of services for
a cost efficient way of communication.
It is intended for
small size companies, SOHO, tradespeople and households and its main objective is
to save money on GSM call costs and costs of diverted calls.
The 2N SmartGate can be connected to a PBX, to a standard telephone set or to PC (LAN) and can be used for
Voice, Data through GPRS, SMS and G3 analogue Fax transmission

Cost Saving Effect
Using the 2N SmartGate GSM gateway you can halve company telephone bills.
All calls directed to GSM networks are routed through
the 2N SmartGate
and inflated bills for the PSTN-GSM connection are avoided.
Features:
Diverter (Follow Me)
With 2N SmartGate on a PBX
extension line,
the new
"Diverter"
feature makes the user
accessible any time and anywhere on the mobile phone to people who dial the user's fixed number assigned by the PBX.
The Diverter/Follow Me feature is also great for SOHO, tradespeople and home users as it can be used to send incoming calls from your PSTN line straight to your mobile (or any other number) without needing an expensive PBX or other diversion system. Follow Me can simply be left on all the time (simply answer your fixed phone first when you are in the office) or can be turned off or on by
dialling a password code from your fixed phone. Save on diversion costs and never miss a call again!
DialThru function
A great advantage of 2N SmartGate is its DialThru function. When you connect this GSM gateway to your standard telephone set, you can call directly to the PSTN and GSM network.
FXO and FXS ports
2N SmartGate is equipped with both
FXS and FXO
interfaces. It can be installed on a PBX trunk line (FXS port), a PBX extension line or to the PSTN (FXO).
G3 Analogue Fax support (optional)
It is possible to connect an Analogue Fax machine to 2N SmartGate and send/receive faxes.
Supported protocols:
V.27ter (2400bps a 4800bps)
V.29 (7200bps a 9600bps)
This newly available option makes the SmartGate the perfect choice for building and other temporary site offices where PSTN lines are not cost-effective or available, but where the ability to send and
receive faxes is a requirement.
Free Minutes Counting (coming soon)
Thanks to this feature, you will always
call in the cheapest possible way. You can set the number of free minutes in the configuration (monthly or daily) and when the free minutes are used up, your call will be passed to the FXO port or rejected.
Low Credit Info
From now on, you do not have to worry about information on your prepaid SIM card status. You can configure the gateway to receive a "LOW CREDIT" SMS messages whenever the SIM card credit gets below a pre-programmed amount, e.g.
10AUD.
GPRS connection
The GPRS connection enables e-mail communication and Internet browsing. It is often used as a back up internet connection for small offices, or primary internet connection on boats or in distant
locations.
CSD connection
CSD gives modem functionality over the GSM network for applications such as Alarm panel administration/monitoring and EFTPOS terminal operation over the GSM network, dispensing with the need for PSTN lines.
SMS sending and receiving:
SmartGate enables all
LAN users to send and receive SMS with a 2N network application - the SMS server. The delivery status of any message can be obtained automatically.
Accessories
EnergyBank
- a back-up power supply that can be used with any equipment requiring 12V supply, ex. 2N SmartGate. With this product any 12V equipment can work for a substantially longer period of time without stable feed.
