What is UMTS/3G
UMTS is an abbreviation for Universal Mobile Telecommunication System and this is a network known as the third generation (3G) network. This new network is intended to be the successor of the globally widespread GSM network. UMTS networks were first launched by Hutchison Whampoa under the name of operator "3", which has started gradual worldwide implementation of third generation networks since 2003.
