The 2N VoIP-GSM Gateways - 2N VoiceBlue Lite and 2N VoiceBlue Enterprise are IP based SIP or SIP/H.323 GSM Gateways, which enable calling directly from IP phones to GSM networks. 2N VoIP GSM gateways are compatible with any IP PBX's, including Cicso CallManager and CallManager Express and Asterisk IP PBX.

The key advantage of the VoIP-GSM Gateways is derived from the support of both signalling protocols - SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which is the key protocol for tomorrow's multimedia communications and enabling emerging WEB-BASED multimedia communication, as well as H.323. The IP GSM gateways are capable of up to 4 concurrent GSM calls and give you  100% control of your GSM call costs.
The 2N VoiceBlue Enterprise gateway can be also utilized as a protocol translator between SIP and H.323 enviroments.

The 2N VoiceBlue Lite gateway works in SIP environments has been succesfully tested and proved compatible with the Cisco CallManager, Cisco CallManager Express, Alcatel Omni PCx Enterprise systems, Asterisk PBX and many others.

Some differences between IP GSM gateways and a small VoIP gateway with analog ports + analog GSM Gateways:
  1. CLIP transfer - VoiceBlue can transfer the CLIP, the other GW is unable to it at all or can do it with great difficulties.

  2. Rerouting to another SIM in the event of a GSM network, SIM or module error - VoiceBlue can do this without any problem, it can reroute a call to another channel or SIM, while the other option cannot do it because there is no signalling and thus no way how to tell the VoIP GW that there is a problem. This all means that the ASR drops dramatically.

  3. Solution reliability - the reliability of a solution is given by the number of elements used and we can say that the more elements, the lower the reliability of the system. VoiceBlue is a single compact unit while the other device is not.

  4. Installation is much quicker and trouble shooting easier with a single box.

  5. There is no need to understand "old-fashioned" PBXs, no analog (BRI,PRI) ports (cards) are used, no port configuration is necessary. All you need is to understand the IP telephony.
